Cancellation Policy

Please note, since the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time set aside especially for you, please cancel or reschedule your consultation if you are unable to keep the appointment. Purpose of the Consultation This complimentary 15-minute consultation is designed to help you determine which Pet Loss Community services may best fit your needs. During this call, you may receive brief emotional support, validation, and a few introductory coping strategies related to pet loss. Not Therapy or Counseling This consultation is not therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment, and does not create a therapeutic or clinical relationship. It is an informational and supportive conversation intended to guide you toward appropriate services. If you are experiencing significant emotional distress or are in need of mental health care, please contact a licensed mental health professional. Confidentiality Information you share during the consultation will be treated respectfully and kept private, with the exception of situations where disclosure is legally required, including: Intent to harm yourself or someone else Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or vulnerable adult A court order requiring release of information Scope and Boundaries The consultation does not include diagnosis, ongoing support, crisis intervention, or personalized treatment planning. If your needs appear to extend beyond the scope of Pet Loss Community support services, we may recommend additional resources or professional mental health care. Acknowledgement By scheduling or participating in this consultation, you acknowledge that you understand the purpose and limitations of the session and agree to participate with the understanding that it is not a clinical or therapeutic service. By scheduling an appointment, I acknowledge the inherent risks and voluntarily assume full responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss that may result from my participation. I hereby waive and release Pet Loss Community, its owners, and its staff from any and all liability, past, present, and future, relating to the services provided.
